Wannes
Hi, I would like to switch from using my Gmail as an POP3 account to using Gmail as an IMAP account. Currently there are about 6000 mails stored on my PC and I would like to keep those. What's the best way to make this change? Delete my POP3 account via Preferences -> Accounts and installing the IMAP account or is there another way? Thanks!
Wannes
I've now setup my IMAP Gmail account and everything works perfect. However, my mails do not show up as they did before with POP3? I now constantly have 2 copies: 1 in my inbox (general) and one in all messages. So upon receiving mail it shows 2 (in the dock) whilst I only received 1 mail. Enable Advanced IMAP Controls in Gmail Labs. Then, go to your Labels tab in your Gmail Settings and uncheck "Show in IMAP" next to "All Mail".
