+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted December 15, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted December 15, 2009 Buy a PS3 if you like sitting around all year for one good game to come out  If only I was mod for one day, these dip****s would be long gone! :p Tbh I think you've already picked the best way to spend the money. TEH BIAS! Problem with the PS3 is you can't pirate games, so most of these people around here with huge collections of 360 games proclaiming they have so much to play do so because they paid squat for them :p But then we all got banned, lulz. DrunknMunky Veteran Posted December 15, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 15, 2009 Not entirely true, I have over 60 legit games on 360, I'm not even sure I've broke 10 on the PS3
REM2000
xbox, excellent console. I own both but tend to play on the 360 more. However you can't go wrong with either!

He's best buying a 360 for his budget, but I hate it when multiplatform games are discredited as non-existent on another platform as it's not the one you buy your games on. vip
360 if you enjoy replacing a console every year What does that mean? I have the original 360. I got it the day it came out, I was number 19 in line, waited 6 hours, got every game at launch, 3 extra controllers and haven't had one problem. No RROD, haven't had to send it in for repairs or anything. I play it everyday and use it daily for a DVD player.

That is insane, seriously. I just counted and I have exactly 20 now, and a lot of them are crap games cause I traded in a whole lot of games at one point as I thought I no longer needed them. But yeah, I have exactly 10 on the PS3, just counted. I would have gone over 10 if I did not trade games in. What does that mean? I have the original 360. However even the Elites which were supposedly all taken care of, my friend who is not really a gamer and just got his first 360 about 3 months ago now as he actually had heard about the RRoD and waited, well he was playing Dragons Age, pretty heavily said he put over 20 hours into it, but he got the RRoD on his Elite, and he barely touched it prior to that game, literally he had not purchased a single game before that, so there still are issues apparantly. Still it is covered for 3 years for the RRoD, so I really do not see a huge issue anymore as it is covered and much, much less of an issue. I am honestly not even sure if a console is the route to take for the OP. He said he does not know if he is going to even use it a lot, so yeah, might want to think of something else, maybe a new graphics card?

Even if I remove the multiplatform games, I still have more exclusives on the 360 than I do PS3 :p But still, there is good reasons to buy them on 360 instead, not that it matters in this topic :p

It really has nothing to do with the version of the console, arcade, pro, elite etc. that's just the accessories and colour - What matters is the revision and buying a console today doesn't mean you'll get the latest version. I bought an arcade a few weeks ago, they are 'supposed' to have the latest Jasper chipset but got a Falcon which is a 2008 revision because of old stock I believe. So model wise has no bearing on it, check the revision and make sure you get a Jasper or AT LEAST a Falcon and you should be on the safe side. DrunknMunky Veteran Posted December 15, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 15, 2009 You mean achievements yeah :p Gamer score pimping and all. Actually my first though when buying something multiplatform is "Will I play this game online?" If yes >>> X360. Then I look to exclusive items, characters, achievements, trophies and the list goes on :p

Actually TBH I havent even played any games on my PS3...not a single one and I have about 6 games for it ranging from LBP, MGS4, Resistance, infamous and uncharted. Woops. I should actually use the thing for something other than movies soon :p Was going to but started AC2 instead.
