spenser.d
Xbox 360. It's pretty much going to turn out the same way as it has the last few years. The PS3 will have all these "hopeful" titles that are supposed to blow everything away and while they will do pretty well, the 360 will still do better. The past is a good predictor for the future and I think there's enough of a past for both consoles now to know how this is going to go. -Spenser
TheLaughingMan
Mass Effect 2, 360 Wins./Thread. well, if you gonna go and play that card. SSF4 > all games

KoL Veteran Posted December 12, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 12, 2009 Going to get: God of War 3 Gran Turismo 5 Heavy Rain The Last Guardian White Knight Chronicles Yakuza 3 Modnation Racers Games I still have to play AC2 and Demon Souls and the multiplatform games like FFXIII. Dammit. :(
MightyJordan
you can't say best and not put in SSF4, dude. Yes we can. SFIV was a mediocre game, and SSFIV is gonna be a mediocre game with a few extra characters; that's it. Back on topic though, the PS3 has quite a few killer exclusives ready for 2010; most notably, Gran Turismo 5, and Heavy Rain. I would add Demon's Souls to the list as well, providing someone actually publishes it here in Europe.
-KJ
I look forward to Fable III. Hopefully the game is a more of a varied, dynamic feel this time. Gets annoying when the exact same bad buys spawn at the exact points in the trail. The lack of variety in monsters in games these days are disappointing. Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted December 12, 2009 Global Moderator Share Posted December 12, 2009 Hardly the "best games", the title should be "overhyped games in 2010" :D
Konstanov
God of War 3 has achieved the world's most realistic graphics by utilizing only one texture, blood.
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted December 12, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted December 12, 2009 Easily PS3 for me, 2010 will be my favourite year God of War 3Gran Turismo 5 Heavy Rain The Last Guardian MAG White Knight Chronicles Yakuza 3 Modnation Racers Agent Twisted Metal PS3 The Agency Are going to destroy everything else. Agent won't be 2010, but we'll see it, same with TM3. I'm doubtful of Last Guardian as well, but it might sneak in a Q3 Japan, Q4 EU/US. Probably the game I'm looking forward to most, but I just don't know enough about it yet. Not one of the games I've bolded is an FPS and I love that

Mediocre compare to what, Tekken 6? BB? Brawl? I'm not saying Sf4 is the fighting game that ends all fighting games, but its way WAY better and more entertaining than what came out in the last 5yrs. I'm not saying Sf4 is the fighting game that ends all fighting games, but its way WAY better and more entertaining than what came out in the last 5yrs. The problem with SFIV is it's like all the previous games in the series; full of bloody difficult moves and completely unforgiving to amateurs. Tekken 6 is a better fighting game, but I'm not sure if it's the best fighting game of the past five years; I'd probably go with Dead or Alive 4 on that one. It welcomely accomodates all player levels, and it still looks brilliant today.
Tharp Daddy
I think 360 will be the better of the two in 2010, though i'm actually happy to see that ps3 fans are getting a very strong and steady lineup of games, the system has finnaly picked up some. I think Mass Effect 2 will be damn right amazing, Bioware is a very trusted developer of mine and Mass Effect 1 blew me away, can't wait to see ME2. BUt not on the " Tekken 6 is a better fighting game" Tekken Tag was the best of the series, that thing was full of win. As for DoA, I just don't "Feel" it, it was fun for the first 10-20mins but after that it was meh. maybe because my 6yr cousin beat me with his button smashing. sn00pie
IMO PS3 won 2009 in terms of better games, 2010 will be no different. GoW 3 and GT5 are alone GOTY titles.

The others will end up (especially The Last Guardian) with a cult following and sells that barely justify making the game.

Which would matter if it somehow impacted on my enjoyment of them :p I probably should of said I was just talking about my opinion of what I want. That said GT5 will obliterate everything in the years sales in terms of a single platform title. As long as they make profits and developers can keep making games I only pity the PS3 owners that miss out on the awesome games (I'm staring at everyone who hasn't bought Demons Souls yet :p). Most SP titles always suffer in sales, the console generation is one of pew pew multiplayer for the most part... most SP games do just get 1-3 million sales (single platform). Adventure games seem to fair even worse. I really dunno where all the old school gamers are, surely you haven't all turned into MP fiends? I guess a lot of people are renting SP games nowadays due to the recession and the idea that's been forced into our heads that it's not possible to play an 8-14 hour SP experience and feel fulfilled with your purchase, there has to be MP (of which half the time is tacked onto SP games).
