Halo Reach Trailer Reaction Video

also did they hint that Master Chief is alive "spartans never die george, they are just missing in action"

As others have mentioned, that's not entirely accurate.

This is a prequel to Halo 1, where the covenant glassed reach. According to the books, MC is on the planet, and escapes in the Pillar of Autumn, which leads to directly into Halo 1, as shown in the opening cinematic of Halo 2 as well.

I'm not really excited about this game at all. Halo is almost like an old girlfriend who won't leave me alone.

Spartans are never listed as KIA as per UNSC rules. Also, there's no reason to believe that MC is dead. In fact, there's more reason to believe he's alive given the legendary ending in Halo 3.

There's a lot of reason to assume he's alive. Like, Halo 3 hasn't happened yet because this is a prequel.

Graphics look awesome though. Glad they used the game engine and not CG.

However - keep in mind that with the AI and everything else running that in-game graphics are going to be close to but not identical to the trailer, as obviously all the other stuff that isn't running during video sequences is going to impact the machine a bit.

Am still looking forward to the Fall of Reach though.

He was alive at the end of Halo 3 plain as day, I see what you are saying about this being prequel but why on earth do people think he would be dead anyways? Did no one watch after the credits?

im excited about Halo Reach but cant say that it was as dramatic as this guy lol.

ONI Section 2, who heads the SPARTAN II program orders that even when a Spartan dies in battle, they are only listed as MIA to create the idea that humanity had a chance and to not panic. It was a giant lie to keep the Inner Colonies from social dissary as the Covenant onslaught glassed the Outer Colonies and marched inward. Has nothing to do with the Chief's ending in Halo 3. Jorge and Carter were basically saying that yes, Spartans did die at Pegasi (obviously the new Lt. did not) but that Spartans never really die but are missing and live on as legend....

I'm sorry but. I now find the halo universe incredibly boring and should be kept within the confines of the trilogy. This looks like it will be just like ODST- squad based except with Spartans.

I am actually looking forward to Halo Reach. The explanation and the beginning of spartans, how MC came to be and what happened. I enjoyed Halo 1 thoroughly and even though I wasn't that impressed with Halo 2 and Halo 3, I am super excited about Reach because it should be VERY emotional story and the fact they took away the silly colorful engine from other Halo games and finally did something that's gritty and more realistic.

Sequels noone asked for:

halo reach (technically a prequel)

just cause 2

Kane & lynch 2

mercenaries 2

Many people wanted Halo Reach... it just wasn't on mass levels like the rest of the Halo games as those who only read the book actually knew what it was about in the first place, and chances are those who read the book weren't 13 year old hyperactive kids screaming profanity down the mic (the same type of loud mouthed halo fans that give the game a bad name).

I refused to buy ODST on the grounds that it was a con-job of a "full game" and in general because I think the Halo universe would benefit more from being darker and more gritty away from the colourful, kiddie versions we have.

Saying that, i really enjoyed Halo3 and went back to replay H1 and H2 after that; so Reach could be the one that gets me back into it. Agreed though - they need to do this perfectly and make it emotional since we all know how it ends anyway. It has to be epic on a grand scale but not stupid like the Halo games previously with simply fighting back wave after wave of Elites.

TheFonz, you werent missing anything with ODST, they completely changed the way the story was done - making the game rubbish (the new method of single player was bad)
