Sethos
Hey, Here's the deal, today I received my Modern Warfare 2: Combat Controller and so far I've been very impressed, definitely is an improvement over the standard controller by my standards yet I found one crucial problem which is currently 'holding it back' so to speak. The Analog sticks are made of a smooth plastic instead of the rubber used on the standard controllers - That means, thumbs get a bit sweaty and they slide all over the damn thing, it was bit toasty in my room tonight as I was playing MW2 and found myself wiping my thumbs off in my pants every 10 minutes to avoid them sliding off, not optimal. So it could be fixed in many ways but I just need that easy and perfect idea, so I'd love to hear some suggestions ( Something I could wrap around the analog sticks, something I could bind to my thumbs etc. ) only real requirement is, it has to be usable for hours without being annoying. I did try looking for some of those rubber "protectors" you can find for some controllers but didn't find any for the 360 controller.
techbeck
Go the the hobby/craft store. They have felt pads or rubber pads that are small and circular. I bought a marble chess set some years back that didnt have felt padding. I bought some from the hobby store so the chess board didnt scratch. Of course, you can always buy the spray on adhesive and make your own if you cannot find anything at the store.

Sethos
Caps4stix?http://shop.ebay.co.uk/caps4stix/m.html?_n...from=&_ipg= Exactly what I'm looking for! Though, I won't purchase anything off Ebay, ever - You wouldn't happen to know of an online store in Europe that carries them?
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted December 15, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 15, 2009 Exactly what I'm looking for! Though, I won't purchase anything off Ebay, ever - You wouldn't happen to know of an online store in Europe that carries them? http://www.bespoke-solutions.net/ I'd double check the site just a little to make sure it's legit having never bought from it myself. But for less than ?2 it's not the end of the world if they aren't legit. I don't think you'll find them in retail stores so that's the best I can do I'm afraid. Sethos
But for less than ?2 it's not the end of the world if they aren't legit. My budget is fragile >.> Appreciate it it man, will order a pair right away and hopefully have them within a few days. I see in the Ebay auction, the grey are for the 360 and the black are for the PS3 and you can ask for a pair in black for the 360 - So they are exactly the same, right? I'd like some in black but I don't want to deal with some random XXXXXL-condom sized suckers.
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted December 15, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 15, 2009 From the picture they do look identical, but I honestly don't know. I don't think it will make a difference. If you hold a 360 analog stick up to the PS3's they are almost exactly the same size.
Sethos
True, I just had these massive tractor wheel sized PS3 analog sticks in mind and I couldn't be arsed finding one in the trash can to check >.> Decided to order from Ebay instead, that site looked way dodgy  Really appreciate the help man (Y)

Yeah, just noticed that not long ago, the seller's Email is from the @bespoke-solutions.net domain - So I would have received it from the same place either way :)

DrunknMunky Veteran Posted December 16, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 16, 2009 Yeah but I think it's probably a one man operation or something. Same thing happened with the PS3 triggers until someone either stole the idea or bought them up.
