Ironman273
Five Minutes Of Command & Conquer 4 Gameplay Here's what it looks like to play the upcoming Command & Conquer 4. Please note, that despite the video commentary, you will not be able to play as a fence. It's best sticking with NOD or GDI. Source: Kotaku Well, so far so good. There's a new video up specifically about Tiberium. Edited December 22, 2009 by Ironman273

RadishTM Veteran Posted December 16, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 16, 2009 Decent indeed, interface reminded me of Starcraft :D Radish?
Yusuf M. Veteran Posted December 16, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 16, 2009 It's different and interesting, but it doesn't feel like Command & Conquer.
Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted December 16, 2009 Global Moderator Share Posted December 16, 2009 That is something I will get. It sort of has a C&C2 and C&C3 feel. I didn't like C&C3 at all, it was overly complicated.
Xerxes
It doesn't look half bad, I'm not completely sold on the all-in-one base idea (as I like building up my bases!) however, in the context of this chapter it actually makes more sense so I won't hold it against it :p My only beef with it is I can't pre-order it! Impulse says it's not available in Australia (maybe they anticipated it getting banned here :p) and everytime I try on the EA Store the site just gives an error :/
bolerodan
Im disappointed with this game and im a huge CnC fan. Its disappointing. I've been playing the Beta... now i realize its a beta, but the unit designs are lacking, the environment is not engaging and the lack of visual tiberium is saddening. My buddy and i were just playing it.. and we had a bunch of units and it was really not engaging. Units just sitting across from each other fireing. The blue and pink weapons are kinda weird too. oh well.

Geoffrey B. Veteran Posted December 16, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 16, 2009 That looks good. Still would rather play StarCraft II
bolerodan
I just dont understand how a tiberium game, has no tiberium at all, visually on the map. Its now "Tiberium Control Networks" Where they are now just resource nodes you capture to get points.... like Company of heroes. However their explanation is that the tiberium is all underground now. One thing I enjoyed about the Tibierum universe, was playing in an environment just destroyed with tiberium. Without that it just feels like some random RTS. Raa
Starcraftish now? Ugh. I think I might be skipping this one.
TokiToki
Reminds me more of Company of Heroes than C&C. Will be skipping this.
bolerodan
Exactly! It is very disappointing .. and that in itself is disappointing. The other thing that is pretty bad is the counter system. The colour of weapon fire indicates whether the unit is a good counter or not, against the unit it is shooting at. The thing is though they set it up so that, Unit A is ONLY a good counter against Unit B and useless against any other unit. meaning Unit A hardly does any damage against unit C, or unit D. I had a titan in this game, unable to blow up a nod buggy. Ridiculous.
Yusuf M. Veteran Posted December 17, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 17, 2009 That's bad. I'll skip this one, just as I did with the previous games. The last one I bought was Generals - Zero Hour.
Azusa
It all seems like a dumbed down version of supreme commander.
Tech Star
It looks WAY too complicated! :/ CaC3 was good in keeping it simple (in my opinion).
Ayepecks
It looks unique... but not like Command & Conquer... we'll see... I like the units going back to Tiberian Sun style... but I hope this gameplay is one of those rare missions that lacks base building. I haven't really been keeping up with the news on this game. bolerodan
It looks WAY too complicated! :/ CaC3 was good in keeping it simple (in my opinion). Complicated? What are you talking about? The whole reason what they have done to this game is to make it NOT complicated and appeal to the non, unexperienced RTS players. How more simple can you get other than the only thing you do is pump out units? Theres no base building, theres no strategy, they also added a visual colour system for un experienced RTS players so they KNOW that the unit they are using to kill another unit is effective or not. Its TOO simple. You have it backwards.
Chemaz
No base building? limited command points? wtf, everything C&C was they've just thrown away. I liked C&C3 even though the patches nerfed a lot of units, RA3 was a bit weird, but was an alrite game. RA2 imo is the best one out of the series. But im not sure ill get this game :s this game actually saddens me :( they've nerfed the series
themeatt
yes. i am that buddy. this game is rather dull, from gameplay to the map they let you play to resource stuffs. sigh.

PGHammer
There's a new video up specifically about Tiberium. <param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="530" height="325"> Basically, we can blame *Kane* of all people for the TCN (Tiberium Control Network); how many of those that are hating on C&C 4 play as Nod or the Scrin in C&C 3? (Both Kane and the Scrin fravored a greater spread of Tiberium, while it was GDI that wanted to control, if not eliminate iit.) Kane obviously had a motive for the creation of the TCN; what was that motive? Does that get explained in C&C 4? Also, why would Kane go to the GDI *at all*?
