Tinker download for Windows 7

all i know is i'm mad @ Microsoft for making me have to input cc information for a game that's supposedly free...Why does it have to be thru this stupid !@#$% Games for Windows Live !@##$$ .

I was all happy that Tinker was released for Windows 7 and they had to go spoil it *grumble*

Free in dollars is not the same as free in license.

The license is also free.

Actually all you had to do was click on the "use microsoft points" tab or whatever it says. You DO NOT have to put CC info to download the game, only if you actually put it in lol

thanks but gives me error: xlive.dll missing when I try to start it up.

There are two other installations inside, one is for direct x i think, and another one i forget right now, but click through the folders Once they're installed you get no error messages.

I'm glad they released this, and of course I've installed it properly now that they have, but I've been running it for months now in Vista compatibility mode.

I guess you missed the big SKIP button at the bottom of the credit card info screen. :rolleyes:

Yeah, copy the files from your Vista Ultimate install and run in Vista compatibility mode. Just like Tinker, before this release. Disclaimer: You may need to be running Win 7 Ultimate for this to work, I haven't tested it in any other edition.
