IceBrewedBeer
I know this might be borderline or even across the line but I'm gonna ask it anyways. I'm not asking how to get OSX onto the 10v or even promoting the use of a hackintosh. I would like to know if anyone is using the 10v as a "Mac netbook" pretty much on a daily basis, and their opinion on it. Thanks Also if this is the wrong subforum I apologize. [snipped] =) Edited December 17, 2009 by John S. don't encourage rule breaking ;)
offroadaaron
you can talk about hackintosh completely here except for anything about illegally obtaining it.

bdsams Veteran Posted December 18, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 18, 2009 ive got an hp mini 311 hacken tosh, depending on how you order it will depend on the ability to use all its features ( IE, i have to do a tape hack to get bluetooth to work) but the machine does run it well and with really no problems but... as for battery life OS X is killing it on my Mini 311, with wifi on its around 2.5 - 3 hours...in 7 its around 5.5 hrs and thats a big deal breaker for me. I do use the OS X install a fair bit but had to dual boot for when i am using it on the road/plane.
IceBrewedBeer
Thx bd, Anyone else?
evo0o
as bd said i believe the main problem you'll face is the fact that drivers are optimized on the netbook for os x to run, hence, battery life will suffer. also, ever consider the size of the screen? i've had friends with netbooks upgrade after a couple of months as they couldn't take the size of their text while doing their papers and assignments etc. (this is down to what you use the netbook for.)
