Holy Crap! Crysis 2 Announced!

Recommended Posts

I still haven't played the first Crysis yet, I do plan on buying the Maximum pack when I find it:

As seen on the cover of the February 2010 issue of PC Gamer magazine.

PC Gamer lists it as one of their top 10 games of 2010. The preview debuts the first two screens from the game, showing off a lush city park (complete with benches, trash cans, and plenty of trees) and a decimated city street.

There's also an interview with the game's Executive Producer, Nathan Camarillo, which includes highlighted phrases like "far from tropical" and "increased verticality."

The issue should be on newsstands next week -- pick up a copy for more Crysis 2 details!

This isn't news. Crysis 2 was always coming and was "mentioned" a few times in the past.

I just want it already :(

get ready to put every setting in the low :p

I hope it runs decently well on current-gen hardware, this time around.

I think they learned their lesson, it will definitely be a much smoother and more optimized engine this time around. They

have already showed off their console engine which looks awesome, to say the least and that just goes to show how much

they improved in optimizing engines.

Will 5970x2 be able to run it well :p

BTW i think this time it wont be that specs-sucking game, as it is for consoles too , the graphics may not be that gr8. BTW will it be a dx11 game?

Sure, you can expect 30FPS with two HD 5970s and an Intel Gulftown's Ci7 980X, no worries man ;)

CryEngine 3 is designed to be more scalable and offer better performance. Making it run on 360 and PS3 is quite a feat for the engine.

edit: And the good part, it didn't come at a cost for the PC version. Like many other engines.
