Cy-Kill
Here's good news for console owners: Massively successful PC MMO World of Warcraft is celebrating its fifth anniversary, while the over-arching Warcraft real-time strategy franchise has been around for 15 years now. At the core of both properties: The PC market. We reflect with Samwise Didier, senior director of StarCraft II and art director of the first three Warcraft games, and J. Allen Brack, production director for World of Warcraft, on Blizzard's storied history in our latest Gamasutra feature, and part of the discussion deals with how the company sees the state of the PC business. "I don't see the PC market as being bad. I mean, we didn't have 12 million players ten years ago," says Didier. "Whatever the format, console or PC, I think if there is a good game, it's going to be played." http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/26573/B..._Some_Point.php
-Clark-
They are just scared FF14 is going to eat everyone away! Which I am hoping to be one of the many converts. They should focus on starcraft1.5 for consoles than a mmo.
Konstanov
Just like Starcraft: Ghost is going to be released.
ahhell
I'm guessing they announce a game next year then release it in 2020.

I'm pretty sure Activision/Blizzard doesn't consider Square Enix to be any kind of threat

+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted December 19, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted December 19, 2009 I'm looking forward to playing Freerealms on the PS3 just because it's free and something to waste time with, but I don't think I could see myself investing much time into a console MMO. Need the ability for addons/mods and most important kb/mouse for complexity.

metal_dragen Veteran Posted December 20, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 20, 2009 I'm unsure what they could actually put on a console that would work on a console. Blizz is known for RTS games, which generally don't work all that well on a console - the gamepad is a little slow moving around and issuing commands for a game like that. And there's no way in hell they would port WoW to a console (at least not the 360 since you can't have a keyboard/mouse).
lalalawawawa
Just like Starcraft: Ghost is going to be released. Exactly. :)
Minifig
They already made console games. Rock and Roll Racing. Lost Vikings. Lost Vikings 2.
Cy-Kill
Lost Vikings, the first one started out as a PC game. And, anyway, they weren't Blizzard back then.
Aero_Rising
One problem with that Blizzard time is kind of like Valve time. So assuming valve time and blizzard time are similar we can predict that this will happen at some point in the next 10 years or so....maybe :p
Darrian
This might be good news, if they're remaking Blackthorne or something. Of course, then I'd bitch because there wasn't a PC version.
