Hey, that's weird, man. Unfortunately, that's the web department's job... There's not much I can do, especially with the holiday season coming up. If you'd like, you can download individual episodes or subscribe to the show on iTunes. Just visit the podcast section of iTunes, and search "Gamers Weekly" and you'll see it there. DirtyLarry Veteran Posted December 21, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 21, 2009 Your username makes me question if this is a true response that someone typed out, or a bot made by Fox... Well he has responded 6 times already, so I would tend to believe he is the real deal. Believe it or not all, Neowin gets indexed incredibly quick and pretty damn high in Google. I know this first hand from the few gaming related articles I have written. Speaking of, Ken if you guys ever need a fairly knowledgable, 35 year old as of today East Coast Gaming Correspondent, send me a message.
Cy-Kill
Well, then they'll need a mid-30s fairly knowedgable Canadian Gaming Correspodent as well, I step forward for that.

Hell we have enough people to cover the Globe. :alien: Seriously at the very least we could be used us as a place to get comments in regards to a gaming story they plan on covering. Get the "pulse of the people" so to speak. As long as it is not blatant spamming and just plugging their stuff all of the time, there would be no problem with that at all. Totally, I'd love for some input on upcoming stories. Also, DirtyLarry and Cy-Kill... I'm not sure that they're currently looking for new correspondents, since the budget is pretty tight, but for my part, I could always use extra help (especially at shows like E3, where I'm basically working 23 hour days). Anyway, we have a great, small team here on Gamers Weekly; plus, we get to hit such a huge crowd. (Gamers Weekly is FOX News' #1 most-watched video podcast, which is pretty sweet.) Our motto has always been "hardcore gaming for a mainstream audience." Also, for my part, I've been a born-and-bred gamer. My folks were playtesters for D&D - they played in Gary Gygax's basement outside Lake Geneva. For me, games are an art form, and deserve the respect and insight of movies, literature, music, and theatre. Y'know, the average age of a game player is now 35 years old. The fact is, gaming has grown up, and people who started playing games as kids never stopped. And it's nice to see, with games like "Dragon Age: Origins" and "Modern Warfare 2" (among many others), that games are dealing with mature, adult subject matter. It's been one of my major goals to treat games with the maturity that they deserve. Most videogame "journalism" (I won't name names) is still geared towards a 12-18 year old male audience. Personally, I think that's really narrow-minded. Close to half of all gamers are women now, and the average age of a gamer is much older. Games aren't "just for kids" anymore. They deserve better. Anyway, that's my rant, and my goal. I hope you guys agree.

neocongirl
Best Action Game - Assassins Creed 2Best Platformer - New Super Mario Bros Best Racer - Need For Speed Shift Best Fighter - Street Fighter IV Best Music Game - The Beatles Rock Band Best Sports Game - Wii Sports Resort Best RPG -Dragon's Age Origins Best Shooter - Modern Warfare 2 Most Creative - Brutal Legend GOTY - Uncharted 2 Seems like a pretty standard "safe" list to me. What I mean by safe is no surprises. Exactly what I was going to say. That was the most unoriginal, boring, play it safe list EVER.
WastedJoker
I think the list is pretty much what I'd have gone for. no game really broke the mould this year, did it?
carmatic
guys, this is like one of the fox regional sections, theyre actually pretty decent, its only the main fox news with their talk show hosts which are bad...
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted December 23, 2009 Author Subscriber² Share Posted December 23, 2009 Exactly what I was going to say. That was the most unoriginal, boring, play it safe list EVER. What, it would've been better had they given the awards to the likes of Wet, Tony Hawk Ride, Saw and Rogue Warrior just to be original? Most GOTY lists end up similar, as well, for a game to get GOTY anywhere it tends to be universally well received.
HSoft
Honestly i think you should have to pass a test or something to count as a credible news source if that was the case then i do not think that FOX would ever make it in the news world. If you had to pass a test then no news sources in the USA would ever make it in the news world.
