Jimmy0
Well as this is only a very early survey or whatever, there isn't much to get riled up about.
HawkMan
My thoughts exactly. Three year warranty for only one of the choices? Beta games for a $29.99 option and not a $69.99 option? Paying $69.99 and still not getting cross-game voice chat? I'm thinking that this is a very early survey, and when their final subscription plan is revealed, they'll have everything combined into one plan. Paying for cross-game voice chat is pretty bad. Paying for Facebook connectivity is even worse, lol. Eventually all the options will be in the package, this is just a questionaire to decide wich features they shoudl focus on first. Tech Star
Paying for cross-game voice chat, now that would be hilarious in a very, very sad way. Paying for playing online, now that would be hilarious in a very, very sad way. Oh wait...
Sethos
Paying for playing online, now that would be hilarious in a very, very sad way. Oh wait... You're right, I'd rather want PSN standards with less features than a 1970's Ford Pinto, 2% of the players using a Microphone where 80% of those players decided to spend less than ?5 on it and now they are basically trying to sneak even the simplest of features in using the back door by having the customers pay for it over 3 years after launch. Man, I so put my money on the wrong console :(

Man, I so put my money on the wrong console :( At least you get online for free, with basically some/most of the features of XLive that you have to have Gold to use (Netflix). Only some use the microphone because they did not bundle a headset in with the PS3, which Microsoft did (kudos to them for that ), which means they have to buy it separately, so many won't do that. I have nothing against the X360, I have one myself and pay for Gold subscription, but hell I don't want to pay for online. :/ I can use that $30 I pay for 12-Month cards (buy them on sale) and put it towards another game or something. Oh no, I fully understand why some don't want to pay for playing online, I respect that but I just hate when it's being brought up in comparison to the PS3 because that online experience is so disappointing and borderline abysmal nobody in their right mind would actually pay for it. What I'm getting for my money, feature and experience wise, I'm pretty satisfied - I actually spent the equivalent to a years Xbox Live sub. ( Through unofficial channels ) on the Official PS3 BT Headset and the few times I played, barely anyone spoke or answered - So I'd say those money are even worse spent. I mean, the accessory I've purchased for the PS3 to try and add to my online experience has cost me more than the 3 years of live I've purchased so far and that really requires nothing else out of the box. Well, nevermind that - It really all depends when you got a console, what kind of experiences you've had, who you played with and what your friends chose, that's the crossroad between which platform you favour and how you quantify your opinions :)
Bhav
The fewer people that use headsets online the better! I wish there was a "mute everyone in all games" option (or at the very least, make mute the default...e.g. in MW2)

WastedJoker
What a strange list - you'd think there was an option to cover all bases.
.KICK
People keep saying these are a starter list but I am pretty sure they would have put all those ideas down for a reason so we could see some stupid subscriptions or we may not. I won't pay for PSN though. Not advanced yet to warrant money!
WastedJoker
I've had mixed experiences with PS3 and voice comms - it's great in MW2 when you get a decent team who are mature. you can give little hints or just listen in. Then that's balanced out by kids who have music blasting at a million decibels and then call you a ****** when they shoot you.

I agree with everything that you have just said there. The PS3 online experience is a bit disappointing, but hell for free, it can be beat. :D
