Andre S. Veteran Posted December 21, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 21, 2009 As my main kickass PC is dead for at least a week, I am stuck on my laptop, which has crappy Intel integrated video and a generic Intel Dual-Core CPU. It has trouble running Geometry Wars at its native resolution, to give you an idea. This is depressing and I'm looking for ideas of fun games to pass the time while my new hard drive is on the way, and that would play well even on such a poor computer. BTW I can use my Xbox 360 controller + full-sized mouse and keyboard, + secondary monitor, at least. Thanks.

SimplySchizo
Torchlight runs on just about anything. Excellent game.
Cy-Kill
Torchlight runs on just about anything. Excellent game. It even has a netbook mode. I wouldn't call it an excellent game, it was a little to linear, and it was supposed to be randomly generated dungeons if I remember correctly, I ended up getting a few of the same dungeons on different floors. Smashing Pumpkin
Postal 2, Deus Ex, Red Faction 1 :p I just made a thread pretty much exactly the same as this by accident. I have a standard laptop too with integrated video and a core 2 duo processor, so looking for some old but good games too. Also, I am going to either need to buy a wireless receiver for my 360 controller or a wireless optical mouse for use with laptop keybaord. What would you guys, as PC gamers, recommend out of the two. I am more used to 360 controller considering Ive never been into PC gaming before.
SMELTN
World of Warcraft, Empire Total War,Knight Total War & Rome Total War. No way, not on a cheap laptop with integrated graphics like his. I have a very nice HP laptop with a decent Nvidia graphics card in it and WOW runs like crap on it.

Andre S. Veteran Posted December 26, 2009 Author Veteran Share Posted December 26, 2009 I found out Civ4 ran perfectly well even on such crappy hardware, mainly because framerate doesn't matter much in this game. Anyway, got my new HD and back online ! Thanks for all the suggestions, checked them all out.
