So i got a Wired 360 controlled for cheap

Some games will natively pick up the Xbox 360 controller and will automatically use the console button mappings. Burnout Paradise does this and is quite good fun, and if you can get the PC version of Mirror's Edge cheap it's great while it lasts.

Depends on what you're looking for. Every 360 port I've played on the PC I've used my 360 controller (including Borderlands). I've gotten so used to using a controller, I seriously doubt I'd be "better" with a mouse and keyboard. Plus using the controller lets me sit a little further back too.

Definitely play Batman Arkham Asylum , the 360 controller works like a charm in that game. I use my controller in that game since it doesn't really require the precision of a mouse like in FPS games

Games like Grand Theft Auto 4 aren't compatible with many controllers, so the 360 controller is completely necessary. I'm assuming racing games are excellent with it too.

Anyone know where I can get a wired 360 controller really cheap?

Most XBox 360 ports work pretty well with the XBox Controller. Most "Games For Windows" games work well with it too.

The three games I use the XBox controller for:

360 controller works well with most racers on the pc, but is horrible and just a sluggish mess with any types of shooters. You really see the difference between the mouse/keyboard and a controller in these situations.

I am a long-time console gamer who recently switched to pc - much prefer gamepad for all game types (except RPG/RTS, of course).

I used to use mouse/kb loads a couple of years ago when I played Battlefield 2 but I seem to have lost the "knack" *l*
