CrossCheck
Since, I don't have a credit card, and transfering money to PayPal takes too long, I rather buy the game in a store. You don't have to transfer money from your bank to your paypal account. If you make a purchase with paypal and have your bank account linked to it. they will withdraw the money from your bank account after you hit checkout. Also if your bank has issued a Visa debit card to you for shopping/atm withdraws. you can use it just like a credit card but money is withdrawn instantaneously. I prefer to buy them digitally because if you buy it at a retail location and that physical media gets scratched you are screwed. at least with Steam and Direct2Drive and your hard drive fails you can always download it again without having to pay for it again. you can always back up your downloads from steam and Direct2Drive to physical media for safe keeping. As for explosions go Bad company 2 is phenomenal. You can even blow up the trees +1 the sound in this game is awesome (Y) only in beta now but if you pre-order you get instant access to the beta from selected retailers. www.battlefield.com for more info :) you can get a non-paid subscription/membership form fileplanet and get the beta/betakey from them
Dysphoria
So, what PC game has a lot of explosions in it, I just bought the Logitech X-540 (5.1) on Boxing Day, and I really want to test them out, of course I've got it all setup, but can't really tell if the sound is all over, or not. More or less what I am looking for is a game that will somewhat utilize 5.1 or something close to it. Well some games that come to mind are Crysis, COD4, MassEffect 2, L4D, they all utilize 5.1 surround. I love it... +1 the sound in this game is awesome (Y) only in beta now but if you pre-order you get instant access to the beta from selected retailers. www.battlefield.com for more info :) Are you a beta tester? What are your impressions? I am really thinking of getting this game...
