iconboy
This is gunna sound lame but I was playing some MW2 on live with some friends and thought how cool it would be if I could team up with my wife and play this lol kinda like a metaphor for our marriage- us against the world! But I understand she can't just pickup a controller and start getting headshots I know it'll be a little bit of a learning process. My wife is 21 and hasn't played a game since super Mario 3 on the nes I don't think she really gets the concept of a thumb stick let alone 2 lol yeah this is what I'm working with, I'm hoping for some suggestions what games to start with should I start with simple games on the ps3 and 360 or start on an entirely different console with different controllers? Start with the snes and work our way up? I have a dream... And that dream is to decapitate some locust in gears of war along side my wife! :)

Shadrack
I have never had a girlfriend that was into gaming. Gaming was always that activity that I did that she thought was silly and taking my time away from her. If your wife isn't a gamer, your best bet is World of Warcraft. Lots of girls that were never gamers before seem to really get into WoW. It might be enough of an "entry [drug]" to get her into other games... Massiveterra
My girlfriend gets headaches after playing a 3D game after 10 minutes. Tried getting her into Left 4 Dead but failed miserably LOL

chevyordeath
I got my girlfriend playing the Sims 3 on my laptop. She doesn't game.. at all. One day she said "I want to play the Sims" lol, I don't know if she saw a commercial or what. So I went out and got her The Sims 3, and she loves it.. I too hope to get her playing other games too. It's kinda cool, because now I don't feel so bad when I play a game on my PC or PS3, because she'll just grab my laptop and play The Sims and have one hell of a time, lol, she loves it. S.MULLA
my wife is into playing the wii (the console), since its interactive she likes playing it. only game i got her to play on the 360 was UFC and a little bit of racing in forza. its very difficult to get women to play games as they tend to have a small window of "ok if i can get the hand of it on the first go, then i will paly it; otehrwise i will throw the controller!" Konstanov
Ask yourself the most important question first. How will you take it when she gets better than you? I will ask the wife for help in Left 4 Dead 2 when playing with her, and she walks away and let's Coach die every single time.

Laurë Veteran Posted December 28, 2009 Veteran Share Posted December 28, 2009 You need to get her to try something easy and immediately satisfying. TF2 was my gateway drug into slightly more boyish games (I was always into DS, Sims, puzzle games).

RZombie
I got my old lady playing GH/RockBand, almost everything on Wii (for some reason women like Wii) and some arcade style games... also i recommend for PC ( to get her broke into some FPS war games) is RTCW Enemey Territory (its free too) very easy to play. CelticWhisper
If you go back a generation, the PS2 has the Baldur's Gate and Champions of Norrath games, which my girlfriend and I enjoyed quite a bit. After having finished those, we started playing PC adventure/puzzle games together and that's been going pretty well too (Riven is a ****** though). We're working through the Myst series now and after that I'm thinking either Syberia or Post Mortem/Still Life.
NikkiRox
I played playstation games like spyro or crash, this may tempt her to play. but if she isn't really into gaming, then give up, you can't push a girl into gaming at this age lol.... I've loved gaming ever since I was 6 so its a bit of a shame not many girls i know personally play games. My bf and I play boarderlands on the 360 all the time, i love it :) He also just bought me unreal tournament pack on steam, so we'll be getting into that too! I'm excited :) Every girl has a preference too... I don't play WoW (yuk) ... but if you want to try a RPG for her, then try Fable II, I loved it, considering I'm only starting to get into RPGs now. (I'm a run and gun type ;))

WigglesTheFish
I got my girlfriend into light gaming... she loves her Nintendo DS (games like SimCreator or Brain Age), she absolutely loves the Sims 2 (and the Pets expansion), and she really loves playing Rockband 2 with me (she actually plays the drums very well). Before us dating she played Mario back on the NES and never had another desire to play any games except that flash game Poppit on Pogo. I don't think I'll ever get her playing MW2 or L4D2, but you gotta start somewhere!
Berserk87
Buy a wii, there simple, funner with more people, and cheap. My mom hasn't touched a game since super mario card for the snes which she liked, and wanted to play again, so we got her a wii for christmas. She hasn't stopped playing wii bowling.
