plasmarox
Hi all :) I've been out of the gaming loop for literally years, (in fact the last game I played obesessively was a source port of DooM) and now that I've built a pretty decent PC I'm looking to get back into games. I've compiles a wishlist on amazon.co.uk of the games that interest me based on reviews from gamespot, so I'd be delighed if the Neofolk could put their top five in a post for me to check out and maybe have a rethink on which to actually spend money on. Yes there are duplicates - I'll get whatever's cheapest when the time comes. http://www.amazon.co.uk/wishlist/231D611HR3CX7 Cheers. chevyordeath
Your list looks pretty good. Get your self a Steam account, it's free. Then you can just buy games from Steam, and download them to your hard drive. Plus Steeam has some pretty good holiday deals going on right now. Fallout 3 (and the DLCs) Team Fortress 2 Left 4 Dead 2 Crysis Bioshock The Witcher (If you like RPGs, you'll love this!) Dragon Age: Origins (Again, if you like RPGs) Warhammer 40K Dawn of War 2 Some very good games there :)
Dance.
I would suggest against L4D (both), it gets boring pretty quickly. You should pickup Batman AA too. It's a really good game. So my list would look like Orange Box Crysis BioShock Fallout 3 Batman Arkham Asylum hmm.. sure I'm missing quite a few games :/. Oh well, will post updates asap. chicken-royal
Definitely get The Orange Box. GTA IV is really good too, played that on PS3 though, so not sure how your PC will cope with it.

Actually, I admit to having played L4D at a friend's house - it was fun with two players, but as you say, I'll bet the dumb AI makes for dull gameplay alone :(] I've actually been recommended bioshock before (by a teacher actually). but i must have forgotton to place it on the list. I'll check it out :) Definitely get The Orange Box. GTA IV is really good too, played that on PS3 though, so not sure how your PC will cope with it. I've played a couple of missions on that too, on my friend's 360 - i thought it was great. I was hoping it would play OK on my new pc (specs in sig) Audiosurf!!! So simple yet mind blowingly awesome! It was on sale for 2 bucks too on Steam (might still be...cant check at the moment). Just checked the website for that - seems like the fun of GH all over again  Orange BOX for sure :D For the price and the games included, its a real no brainer :D Thanks for the advice guys :)
