Lilrich
Hey, How much do you think my intel 24" imac (2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) is worth with 4GB of ram? I am thinking of selling it in favor of a powerbook. Rich

+Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted December 29, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted December 29, 2009 Unfortunately, join the club - computers depreciate like damned cars these days. You come to a point where it is worth more to keep it than to sell it, out of sheer usefulness.

gian
Your a good salesman I am looking for an iMac these days and I've seen 3.06 models going from 795 - 950 euro, depends on whether it's a 2008 model or 2009. I am preety sure that you can probably sell it for something more than 500 GBP. Probably around 700 considering it has extended warranty i'd say top 800 GBP but don't count on it. Check out completed listing on ebay.
protocol7
To get a starting price you can try Mac2Sell. The older the Mac the more they tend to devalue it though, so take the pricing with a grain of salt. Typically I've seen people use Mac2Sell quoted prices to haggle on forums. You didn't state hard drive size or what optical drive it had, so I made a couple of assumptions and this is what I was quoted.
