Lightroom 2.0 + iPhoto '09

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Basically I put all my photos through Lightroom. There are few photos I leave unedited when I grab them from my camera. Even if it's just a simple touch up re lighting or something.

But I also really like the iPhoto software, and it's organisation methods for my pictures. It saves me a lot of trouble.

So, what's the easiest way to get the two programs to work together?

Right now I've been manually exporting photos from Lightroom, and then reimporting them into iPhoto. You can see the immediate problem of duplicates, unless I delete the original copy of the photo, which is pointless because Lightroom is all about non-destructive photo changes and then an export of various versions.

So what I want is to be able to edit the photo, then send it to iPhoto. I'm going to create a folder in iPhoto entitled Lightroom, and have that where all my photos go. But how do I set it up before that stage of exporting?

Should I import using Lightroom, and never using iPhoto?

Thanks,

Medking

P.S. I've read http://www.ononesoftware.com/blog/2007/06/...ure-and-iphoto/

however I didn't really understand the very last part of the post. And it seemed to me that he was having it as the photos go in to iphoto, then to lightroom, and then back to iphoto. Is that the easiest way to do it??
