00000
Should you be the sort of person who doesn't mind fiddling around with alpha level software, you'll definitely want to know about the BlueMaemo Bluetooth emulator. Available via the Extras-Devel repository on your N900, this app allows the device to mimic other Bluetooth gadgets, such as keyboards, mice, and yes indeedy, gaming controllers. Source Looks very cool, handles both controller buttons for navigating the menu and bluetooth keyboard emulator for fast text entry. Also works in games but I don't think there are many games that will actually be playable.
Bhav
It's a shame the phone itself isn't very good...lol
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted December 31, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted December 31, 2009 I always tip my hat to people doing "cool" things like this but most of the time it's rather pointless in real life functionality (Sony either have proper accessories, or defaults work better). nokiaxion
It's a shame the phone itself isn't very good...lol I was want to see if you truely feel that or if it is just jealousy: Do you consider the iPhone (as-is) better than the N900 (as-is)? Bhav
I was want to see if you truely feel that or if it is just jealousy:Do you consider the iPhone (as-is) better than the N900 (as-is)? Jealousy?! LOL. I'm not an iPhone fan (I don't have one or want one), so that has nothing to do with it (and really, your username will never help your case when it comes to phone discussion). There are a whole load of issues you can find in this thread (in which you already replied to 2 of my problems with the phone). Anyway! Not a phone discussion here. As AB said, it's cool but...yeah that's about it.

No phone as you problably know is "perfect" so all have issues....but because of that if you dont consider the phone to be "very good" then.....my question is normal. I never called you a fan or anything. I simply asked a question (which you have yet to reply to)

Yes the iPhone is better, as is, because the app store for the N900 is almost non-existent. However good the phone may be, there are other phones that are much better, and therefore in my eyes the N900 is not very good at all, relatively speaking. However, I will say there is one thing that I want - and that is Fennec. Hopefully that will come to Android some time this year.

As is, the iPhone's app store only has applications that are useful such as Google Maps, your local bank's application, etc. The rest are just crap. I rather have a "app store" in the N900 with some useful intresting applications (which I can use more than one at a time as is) rather than have to jailbreak the iPhone to actually use its full potential. Fair. I'm an Android user anyway...and therefore I can use more than one app at a time too :p
