Tanoru
Hi I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and managed to fix it. I put in an old game and was playing it. Then the machine made a funny noise and the game froze. Now the Browser loads up fine but the console cannot load up any disk. "The Disk cannot be read" Anyone have any ideas? Phantom Helix
You could try cleaning the guts of the disc drive, maybe the spin motor is clogged, or maybe it is broken

IceBrewedBeer
The old phat PS2? or the Slim. I knew if the "phat" PS2 stopped reading discs you could place them in the tray a certain way and it would read them no problem, odd I know but it worked for me. Otherwise you could obtain a can of compressed air, open the tray and go to town. It could just be dusty.
The Teej
Turn the console upside down and try again. Seriously.
