Cy-Kill
What a stupid idiot, he steals something from his own mother: SPRING HILL - A Spring Hill man was arrested Saturday after authorities say he pawned his mother's Wii gaming system to purchase cigarettes, beer and food.According to a Hernando County Sheriff's Office report, Christopher Bayko, 23, was charged with petit theft and dealing in stolen property after selling the Wii for $56, according to a deputy report. http://www2.hernandotoday.com/content/2010...ms-game-system/

Krockett
LOL. his own mom charged her own son for a Wii. how sad. Most likely this is not the first time he stole from her, I don't think the shocking thing is that she turned him in over the Wii, its the fact that that "idiot" stole from his own God damn mother which is pathetic. I'm not a religious person in the least bit, but the demoralization of the US is daunting, it really makes me wish I didn't have to raise my coming child in such a place. Smashing Pumpkin
Was just going to say, what kind of mother is THAT? What kind of response is THAT? Stealing from family and friends probably doesn't start with something as big as a games console, he's probably stolen from her numerous times before. She knew he wouldn't get anything major for pawning a games console so she probably just did it to teach him a lesson, that stealing is wrong. What the hell kind of people are saying, oh my God she's so harsh?!
Cy-Kill
I know how it feels to have stuff stolen by a family member, my mother stole picture albums of my childhood, pictures that cannot be replaced at all, she stole them because I was in a foster family, she didn't want me to have those pictures, I came home one day and they were gone, nowhere to be found. Laurë Veteran Posted January 6, 2010 Veteran Share Posted January 6, 2010 Stealing from close family or friends is disgusting behaviour and also incredibly hurtful to the people who've stuck by you. I say good for her for not letting that little squirt get away with it. Mothers tend to be such a pushover (mine is). I had no trouble making a statement to the Police against my own brother when it was needed. It can seem extreme but when someone has behaved really badly and are spiralling, they need more than tears and cross words. Luckily in our case it did what I intended and so far seems to have pulled him up short on his behaviour .. so far..

Jimmy0
Probably isn't the first time he has stolen from her, she was right to report him to the police! On another note, surely he could have got more than $56 for a Wii? :p

Its a shame that someone can think that if 'all else fails'....move to another country. I'm sure for every child that stole from their mother there is a equal match of one that never has and probably had a less than fortunate life style...but they did have what seems to be lacking 'universal'.....'Actual Parents'
Krockett
Okay, I know I have some pretty strong views, I guess its because of the part of the US I've grown up in. I guess my view of the US is not as great as everyone else's, and I should not project my experience with the US upon the entirety of the US, and for that I apologize...and at the risk of this getting more off topic, ignore my former post and, the admins can feel free to delete it since it caused such an uproar...but I retain my opinion and I'll try to be a lil more lax on the issue in the future.
