Trading a Xbox for a Gamecube

Recommended Posts

Hey I have a Xbox with 6 games + the two that come with it.

Mortal Kombat - Deadly Alliance

Splinter Cell'

Hitman 2

Unreal Championship

Panzer Dragoon Orta

Test Drive

and Jet Set Radio, and Sega GT 2k2, witch come with the consol.

I have the DVD kit, 2 extention cables, and 2 controlls. And The Consol it's self. Oh yeah, and I have a little Xbox CD case.

All this for a Gamecube with whatever you think is fair. I will also sell this. Only to buy a Gamecube. But I hope you guys have some offers because I really want a Gamecube. Peace.

try to sell it on ebay for cash then get a gamecube. i've also seen used gamecubes for 89 dollars at my local gamestop you should check that out to.

i don't recommend buying a whole bunch of games for the gamecube (or any system) really. IMO most games don't have good replay value and are only worth a rental, so obviously you must be considering a Gamecube for it's exclusives. well buy the system for 90 and then rent the games and determine if they are really worth buying. you might play them and beat them and say damn i'm glad i didn't waste 50 on this.

Dont trade your xbox in at a retail outlet. They tend to jack you pretty bad. If you know what your doing, use your ebay account to unload your xbox then get in on some GC auctions. Make sure to pick up zelda WW and Metroid.

A good idea is to sell it all seperately. You will get more money that way. I sold my laptop in pieces and it made a lot more money then what I got it for. Just a tip.

I'll start this by first saying do everything you can to buy GameCube and keep your Xbox, most people always end up regretting selling a console - doesn't matter which one they've sold.

However, if you've got to sell it do what everyone else said. Sell everything separately through eBay or classifieds or something. Selling to a store is just asking to be ripped off.

Try selling the console on E-Bay or for a friend, do not rip them off, try to give them a reasonable price. For all that I'd say you spent over 500 USD, so maybe sell it for 300-400 USD.

Then buy a brand new GameCube (Unless you don't care). Then buy Metroid Prime, Zelda:WindWaker, and Mario Sunshine. Those games will keep you occupied until F-Zero GX comes out.

Ah theres the problem. No Halo. Oh well poor choice IMO. Id go with PS2 if I was going o trade. Gamecube is far worse than XBoX

HALO is old anyway, if you were to make a purchase of HALO, I'd seriously wait till it's on sale for cheap or 2nd hand and/or wait till HALO 2 comes out and splash yoru cash on teh latest version.

As for GAmecube being worse than XB, your very much mistaken. Gamecube albeit cute platformers and graphics has some of the best all times games on it. Of which have higher scores and awards than any other platform! If you hate Zelda teh Wind waker coz of its graphics, you cant deny that its gameplay and world are the best thing ever.

Personally I'd keep the Xbox. It's just now becoming worth owning. A lot of amazing titles where shown at E3, and frankly in my opinion the Gamecubes E3 lineup was pretty lackluster.

I'd try and just pick up a new gamecube or possibly a used one, but I'd keep the Xbox.

A year ago when all it had was Halo and nothing good looked like it was coming I'd have told you to sell, but now I say you hold.

Obey my commands gamer!

Do the right thing, trade it in for a GC and get the PC version of HALO once it's out.

I agree, but rip off a pirate copy of HALO instead and stick 2 fingers up at M$ for a game thats 2 years old and nowhere near the quality of HL2 or DOOM3.

Yeah, HL2 and Doom 3 are great games! I've spent hours and hours and hours wasting away on the multiplayer, which is waaaaay better than Halo's. Especially with the added multiplayer features of Halo.

please don't trade something that you can do so much with, for something that you can't do jack diddly with. I bought a gamecube from gamestop, and took it back, because it was so horrible. Everyone hyped up Zelda, it sucked .. i like the one for SNES better than The WW ... it was horrible. Biggest dissapointment Nintendo has ever produced. I would rather play Spy vs Spy for NES than Zelda: TWW

Haha I loved Zelda for the Gamecube.

Plus there's Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness ,and Resident Evil 0 out right now that you won't play anywhere else.

So thats a matter of opinion on how good the games are. Plus we still have alot of good GC games coming up like, F-zero, Metroid Prime 2, Killer 7, Viewtiful Joe, Resident Evil 4, Metal Gear Solid:Twin Snakes and many others.

But I admit though Xbox's upcoming lineup looks alot stronger than the gamecubes.

Gamecube has its strong points, but man, you got a killer xbox setup there, would be kinda stupid to get rid of it? You can get a refurbished xbox at EB for 90 bucks, thats what I bought for my little bro for his bday, and I will admit it dont have bad games, although it is taking the same route as the Dreamcast, unfortunately. Man don't get rid of your x-box.

He didn't ask to trade it for a PlayStation 2. And how is Gamecube a worse than the X-Box? I don't understand, is it because it has better games and the ability to hook up your handheld Gameoy and play games using the GameBoy?

Explain.

Well if I had a GameCube instead of an XBOX, I'd trade.

But I did the comparing first before I bought a new console, comparing PS2, GameCube, and XBOX, and going by the specs on power, graphics quality, etc. etc. and features and looks, XBOX came ahead by a landslide.

GameCube was fairly close, powerwise, but way too Fisher Pricish.

PS2, well that just doesn't rate at all. Low power, no features, and a pretty horrible lookin console period.
