Extra details on EA?s Medal of Honor revamp emerged today, regarding not only the in-game Tier 1 Operatives within Afghanistan, but two different single-player campaigns.Speaking with Gamesmaster magazine, a real-life Tier 1 Operative (who wished to remain anonymous for good reason) told the mag that games like this are great ? as long as it?s done with respect.

couldn't resist :p

Sounds interesting though hopefully they don't fluff it up. Also EA's now becoming over excessive use of the term "tier 1 operative" like they're some sort of separate entity, mercinary or special persons outside the military is getting a bit silly. It's just the class specification term of experienced operators within a level of special forces ie: SAS, SFOD-1, GROM, KSK, JTF2 etc so hopefully they're not screwing it up by making up some silly fictitious group or purpose for the sake of protecting the characters who're being based on what unit they belong to..

I want it to be one from the enemy perspective.

I always wanted a WWII fps told from the german perspective, I want developers to show that the regular grunt didn't always believe in the system too.

Interesting ... but how long does each campaign take?

No kidding...the campaigns have been getting shorter and shorter.

I predict about 2 hours per. 4 hours total is on par with that ****ing rip off, Modern Warrior 2.

im guessing the special forces missons will take like 10 hours

the second one will take 80 hours because your just filling in reports about the missions in the first campaign

but really im sick of people saying its a copy of modern warfare 2 as if MW2 is an original idea.

I mean hell parts from multipule missions in MW2 where copys from the rock

Update: Matthew Pruitt, assistant producer & community manager for EA has clarified that the game will not have two separate campaigns after all.

?We want to clarify that Medal of Honor will have one seamless single player campaign, not two separate campaigns as was recently reported,? he wrote on the official site. ?You will, however, play as multiple characters that each partake in diverse and unique experiences from both the ?Tier 1? and ?Big Military? perspectives; hence the ?Sledgehammer? and ?Scalpel? motifs that were taken out of context."

Guess people also forgot that IW derived from those that used to work on MOH:AA :p.

I'm definitely excited to see how this turns out. Everything I've read/seen thus far have looked awesome.

Also +1 for having a site launched before their game that's not absolutely crap (*cough*infinity ward*cough*).

Yeah for sure, just wish they didn't insist on implying and mentioning "tier 1" in practically every sentence related to the game by the time it comes out it's going to be an extremely worn out term I think.. lol
