games you spent most hours on?

Recommended Posts

For some reason it always seemed to me that Quake and UT players played the most hours out of any game. People find this hard to believe, but I know quite a few people who have clocked over 5,000 hours in UT2004 and this is during a 3-4 year period (logged with xfire). In Quake 3, players have even more hours, pretty shocking to think about it.

Yeah... I played UT2K4 on and off, I could just never get the same feel out of it that I did Q3. Both are very addictive though.

[random] I honestly can't think of a better LAN game then Q3 though, out of all the ones i've been to and hosted Q3 has always shined to be the most fun, and people playing totally through the night, instead of dipping @ like 2AM or something, or going to sleep.

The ones that sleep are the ones that get the sharpie drawings on the face... [/random]

=P

not poking any fun here but I saw many people point out wow. One person that suprises me is AudioBoxer. You complain about paying for xbox live over PSN, BUT, you pay $15 a month for a subscription based game?

Im just wondering how your mind works, you come into threads picking at people. Recently where someone got you good, so I have to pick at you. Im not starting anything, i honestly want to understand how you can complain about $3.50 a month for xbox live(if you buy a year) for service thats rarely down anymore and has many features packed, to something thats free is while its good, it still has its ups and downs but its free.

YET, you pay for wow every month and have no problem that blizzard is abusing the hell out of it now and its a cash cow. You of all people I expected not to play wow honestly.

I don't know how many hours in total, but on an average, I play 4 to 5 hours per week, and have been into gaming for the last 14 years. The games I play are; Sims 3, Caesar 3, Diablo II, Crusader: No Regret, NFS Most Wanted, NFS Carbon, C&C Generals and Counter Strike. I have played, and still play many more, but it would take too long to list them all out here!

WoW for sure. I've got a lot of time logged in there.

Oblivion is the runner up I think, but I've been spending a lot of time on Dragon Age and loving every minute of it, so I think it'll be passing up Oblivion pretty soon.

WoW - Quite a lot. Think it was around a months playtime or something like that. Luckily for me, I quit it a long time ago. Guess we'll never know eh.

Oh and Team Fortress 2 also.

World of Warcraft! I can only think how much of my life I wasted in that darn game!

Then it would be FFVII. I must have spent close to 200+ hours playing that as well......

Have to agree, played this for hours! Getting everything such as Gold Chocobo wasn't easy!

Also another game is UT 99, used to played competitively for ages.

Probably Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

I can't really remember the last time I played Halo 2, but I certainly did spend a lot of time in that campaign and multiplayer; possibly more than CoD4, but it's hard to tell, anymore. My boyfriend and I played it a lot over XBL when we were separated by school, and we spent a lot of time with the glitches. Ditto with Halo CE. Call of Duty 4 is by far my favorite game (along with MW2), though.

I also spent a lot of time in Resident Evil 5, if you want a non-multiplayer game (at least, non-crappy-multiplayer). Once I finish the campaign, I like to go back and earn achievements, then I'm pretty much done with it unless it has multiplayer, which I spend most of my time in. When I play with the boyfriend, though, we generally breeze through the campaign in a few hours.

Gears of War, I play every now and then, though not nearly as much as the CoD games.

Right now the time-suck is MW2, and I wouldn't be surprised if I spend more of my time on this game than any other; haven't gotten sick of it yet.

On the PC, definitely TF2 and L4D.

Halo 2 probably. Multiplayer was great at the time...

Heck yes. Halo 3 multiplayer fails in comparison to Halo 2 in its heyday. Man. Talk about the best online multiplayer experiences I've ever had. Halo 2!!

Oblivion > 100+ hours

Fallout 3 > 80+ hours

Gears of War > 4/5+ months - way too much time on that multiplayer

G.R.A.W. > 4/5+ months - way too much time on that multiplayer
