Sethos
However, draw distance and color pallette do take power. A lot of the good-looking shooter-esque games this gen (Gears, KZ2, Fallout, etc.) feature 37 different shades of brown and brown-grey. Let's not forget blur, blur, BLUR AND MOAR BLUR!!!!!!

Razorwing
I disagree. Nothing is impossible. It just takes more effort to do it. :shiftyninja:
The_Decryptor Veteran Posted January 8, 2010 Veteran Share Posted January 8, 2010 However, draw distance and color pallette do take power. A lot of the good-looking shooter-esque games this gen (Gears, KZ2, Fallout, etc.) feature 37 different shades of brown and brown-grey. The brown/green in Fallout is a stylistic decision, no idea why since it looks great once you remove it. I'd provide a better screenshot, but it seems I only take screenshots when it's overcast, raining or foggy in game, so 99% of the screenshots I do have are mostly a subdued gray :p But at least it's not a post process effect, proving a game with a full colour spectrum, then doing a sepia effect or such when you render eats up processing power, although luckily not that much (Even HL2 can do screenspace rendering effects without breaking a sweat)
soniqstylz
Of course it's only possible on PS3: It's a Sony game. Although I guess they could've made it for PS2.
