HostileGamer
I'm not trying to illegally put OS X on my PC, I was just wondering if it is possible. My folks just bought a 22" iMac and they are asking me all sorts of questions about it now and I have never really fiddled around with it. So I was just wondering if it was possible to dual boot my WIN 7 machine with a copy of the new OS X? Any advice would be nice seeing as I'm not really a Mac person...yet. Thanks in advance :)
Tech Star
Yes you can, but it will be harder for you as yours is an AMD. Which means you need more kexts, etc. http://insanelymac.com is the place for OSX86. ;)

The_Observer
hey there i have OSX working on my PC, and its great just like a normal MAC. No problems but its not easy.... took me about 50 million trys to install and work out the bugs, there are alot of readmes on the internet, best to start off with what hardware you have and then go from there, Read this about installing on AMD systems http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=181876 i found it easyer to build my system around what works, there is abit of work, also its best to have a separte hard drive cause install and dualbooting on the one hard drive can make life alot harder. a simple 80Gig SATA drive will work. Good Luck! is called hackintosh. good luck matebut.. no offence at all, is this also allowed in the forum? https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?act=...;f=60&id=30 As per This Thread, installing and using Mac OS X on non-Apple hardware is no longer a forbidden topic on Neowin (however, you are reminded that Neowin has a strong anti-warez policy, and any will not tolerate posts regarding illegally obtained copies of OS X).In order to differentiate new support threads in the forums, tagging your thread title with [OSx86] is now necessary. Any comments such as "this is illegal" or "reported - this isn't allowed" in threads tagged [OSx86] will be seen as trolling, and will be removed/the poster warned.
