Is it possible to Sync game saves across 2 computers?

My setup is this -

1st PC (Has the Saves i want to Sync) -

64bit Vista Home Premium.

2nd PC -

32bit Vista Home Basic.

Using a service such as SkyDrive could i sync the game saves?

Thanks,

Cameron.

It depends on the game and how/where it stores the data but yes it should be doable.

Be careful though sometimes profile settings like resolution.etc is also transferred.

I know Dragon-age does this.

You could create a share on one of the PC's or a NAS and move your hole user folder (Documents, Pictures, Music) to it. This would then mean that all your app data, game saves and alike are shared. I also means (In the case of a NAS box) you documents are stored on a data HDD and not a OS/Programs HDD. But like above things like resolution will also be shared in some cases. I think the sync is a good idea.

  • 3 weeks later...

Windows Live Mesh, I used this to sync folders containing coursework while completing my final year project at uni so I could work on my PC or laptop. It should be able to work perfectly fine syncing game saves / specific folders.
