Shine A Light On This Alan Wake Gameplay Clip

Not to be an ass about it but.....

Surely stating that you had a stopwatch in hand awaiting a reply is pretty much admiting you were baiting him into the discussion? :p

Back on topic, certainly looks like a decent game although been a while coming, I remember the original trailers for this back when the Nintendo Revolution fake trailers were about!

not at all, Gavin knows I love to irritate him but at the end he's my favourite member

:p

and yes, on topic, one the best this year exclusives if not the only one

Actually yeah there's time for jokes I even said that myself, I joke about myself, prompt you guys to joke about me, but I don't like to be irritated 24/7, just letting you know that, no harm meant.

it kind of reminds me of the mechanics they used in old japanese RPG or adventure games.... somehow getting light to shine of 'ghost' type enemies to materialize them so that you could physically attack them

didnt that Zelda game for the Gamecube do that?

I dunno about RPGs or Zelda but the last horror/thriller game series that used something else to fight spirits/ghosts other than a gun of some sorta or a club etc was the Project Zero/Fatal frame games. Those, specially the first one, are good, hell it scared the heck out of me a few times. And your only weapon is a spirit camera etc, no guns and so on.

I mean blasting away zombies fits, ok, but like in silent hill, I dunno, those were spirits/demons and so on, imo, but w/e. This new game mechanic in Alan Wake opens it up and makes it way more interesting now. I just hope your flashlight batteries don't run out! :p
