I've crossed the fine line

And they're probably going to be updated late this month.

Just like PC's, you mean? Apple only have a few products, so people notice it more when they refresh their range.

They don't depreciate as much as PC's do either, so it's not like your money is being wasted. Resale value is still very high for older models.

I used to use a Mac years ago in school (my school never had and windows pc's till a teacher one day brought in his IBM Aptiva LOL!)

I do plan on running Windows on it too, but I'm generally able to use any OS without fuss.

Well the MacBooks have been updated since I bought mine. It still works just great, does exactly what I need it to.

Buying a computer that suits your computing needs = win. Buying a computer to have the latest/greatest tech = destined to perpetually torture yourself.

I just placed my order for my first MacBook :)

Cool deal man, welcome to the party! Which one did you get the regular or the Pro?

^ I believe I got the MacBook ;)

I bought it because I need a Notebook as my Netbook wasn't cutting it. Now I just gotta convince the warehouse where I work at to let me in with it lol (and I should offer to redo their website, it isn't Halloween anymore...)

Now how well does OS X network with Windows 7 x64? My Windows desktop is still where I store all my files so I needs to know ;)

I know that but there's a difference between buying a product near the beginning of it's life, and buying a product less than a month from when it's likely to be updated. Dell, HP, Asus, Sony, etc. don't usually hold a press conference when they're going to release new or update old products so it's harder to time when a good time to buy is as well.

See i didn't know there was gonna be a product refresh this month (nor do I actually care).

This is shocking to say the least. How long have you know about your little problem. :p

j/k. Congratulations.

Hahah my desktop tower was the "little big problem" at times. It just isn't as portable as it used to be...
