nyrol
I have a macbook that the only thing wrong is that it always thinks the lid is closed so whenever it boots, it goes to sleep. I have replaced the sleep switch to no avail. Is it possible to install Snow Leopard without the kext that detects whether or not the lid is closed? I am also comfortable with losing the entire sleep feature. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

nyrol
It is not under warranty, and can I put that kext onto the install DVD so that I can install it right from there? Or do I have to install it, and access the hard drive through linux to install the kext?
