+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 13, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted January 13, 2010 And nothing.Who disputed that? No one I'm just replying to your sarcastic remarks about 2008 with logical reasons why this game has been in development a long time. I have no idea what your interests in this topic are, so unless you make them clearer to me I can only take them as they appear as text on a forum. Massiveterra
how much did they spend on developing GT5? with so many years in development, it's hard for me to imagine a huge return in investment
AbandonedTrolley
how much did they spend on developing GT5?with so many years in development, it's hard for me to imagine a huge return in investment $60,000,000 was the last issued figure, they should easily recoup that money. +Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 13, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted January 13, 2010 60 million, GT5 Prologue sold 4.17 million at what, $30 on release or was it $40? There's how PD can take their time :p
Tech Star
I believe that this was done because SONY is spacing out its releases to make maximum revenue. They can?t release Heavy Rain, God of War III and GT5 in the same quarter and then have nothing. People won't have the money to buy all the games at the same time. I kinda wonder if Sony is targeting an Aug/Sep release so they have a AAA Exclusive release to go up against Halo Reach.

+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 14, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted January 14, 2010 Just a month and only for Japan http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...e.com&twu=1 As I keep saying, Worldwide release in April, or possibly May, clashes with nothing and will let GT5 rip. Santa Monica will be happy (GoW3 devs), as it maximizes their chances to do quite well in Japan.
sn00pie
No big deal. I'm pretty sure with this delay we can expect a simultaneous worldwide release for GT5.
ToneKnee
No one denies that the longer someone delays a game the more polished it will become, but at the end of the day, companies need to stop announcing release dates unless they actually know when it's going to be released. Duke Nukem is a good example of this.

Eddo89
GT haven't actually "released" release date. All they gave was a general time slot. People is so 2007, or whenever GT4 was released.
