Apple and TBWA's 'Get A Mac': The Complete Campaign

We know how you love Apple's "Get a Mac" ads with John Hodgman and Justin Long. So, here are all 66 TV spots (plus the 90-second extended version of 2008's musical ad "Sad Song") that have aired since the campaign, created by TBWA Media Arts Lab, launched on May 2, 2006.

The success of Microsoft's Windows 7 raises questions about the viability of "Get a Mac" going forward. (The three October 2009 spots, slamming Windows 7, look a little goofy now, and Apple skipped doing holiday spots for the first time in four years.) Have we seen the last of Mac and PC? We'll see. For now, click on the thumbnails below, and enjoy the work from the past four years.

I liked them, they could do a funny one ripping on the Windows 7 commercials. Talk about all the problems then say, well, it was your idea :)

So, basically, Apple would continue to do nothing but mudsling? As if the corporate attitude wasn't immature enough.

I really don't know why Apple veered away from "Think Different" in the first place. It was really quite a smart campaign: tasteful, and established brand recognition. Now, "Get a Mac" isn't really about anything Apple... I've learned so much more about Microsoft and their products than I have about a single Apple product.

And? It's funny and it's meant to be funny. It's meant for people to see it, laugh, and associate it with the Apple/Mac branding and it is working.

I know it works, I just feel that like Apple should have tried to promote a different corporate attitude. All they come off as to me is jealous of Microsoft's success. They can't match their market share or their product range, so let's just bash them endlessly.

I didn't find MOST of them funny, maybe a little smile here and there, but they were MUCH better than Microsoft's "Gates and Seinfeld" ads.

Hhhmm, let's see they have the HIGHEST profit margin of any computer maker and their market share is growing, slightly but still growing, and you think they need to abandon what has helped them get this far?

Look, I love Windows Seven, I had zero problems with Vista or XP, and have never considered buying an Apple product computer or otherwise, but some of the points their ads make are GOOD ones. No real virus, ad-ware or spy-ware threats, and it's a very stable and good looking OS, maybe they should showcase the things that make a Mac a good choice for a computer user, instead of slinging mud, but mud slinging has almost always worked. If it didn't then it wouldn't be used in 95% of political campaigns or advertising we see today.

I never realized that happened. Perhaps they finally got the message.
