LOC Veteran Posted January 19, 2010 Veteran Share Posted January 19, 2010 So the only point I got from this is that console games outsell PC games, right? lol
HilariousNinja
The 2 out of 5 gamers are women is interesting, then I noticed 80% of them play the Wii.
Sethos
Playing Wii shouldn't really classify you as a gamer.
Spookie
The 2 out of 5 gamers are women is interesting, then I noticed 80% of them play the Wii. To be fair, I'm male and even I don't want to go near Live. :p It didn't account for the PC though. I'm sure that would have taken a fair % out of the Wii. I remember reading that 30-40% of Everquest II's subscription base is female. Sethos: Lets not start with that. :(
Cupcakes
If I had to participate in that "poll" the curve for hours of gaming per week would really screw that up. :p
Yusuf M. Veteran Posted January 19, 2010 Veteran Share Posted January 19, 2010 The only thing that made me widen my eyes as I sat viewing the image was the "Top 5 Best selling video games".
Ironman273
The only thing that made me widen my eyes as I sat viewing the image was the "Top 5 Best selling video games". I had a little issue with that because I thought Wii Sports was bundled with the Wii. Was it also sold separately?
qdave
I am a minority by being pc gamer :(
MightyJordan
I had a little issue with that because I thought Wii Sports was bundled with the Wii. Was it also sold separately? It's only sold seperately in Japan; bizarrely, they never got Wii Sports bundled over there. But still, Wii Sports and Super Mario Bros. should not be on that list, because the majority of their sales were because they were bundled with their respective consoles, which really doesn't count. Here's the actual list of the best-selling games of all time: Wii Play (Wii ? 24.43 million) Wii Fit (Wii ? 22.5 million) Nintendogs (DS ? 22.27 million, all five versions combined) Pok?mon Red, Blue, and Green (Game Boy ? 20.08 million approximately: 10.23 million in Japan, 9.85 million in US) New Super Mario Bros. (DS ? 19.94 million) Mario Kart Wii (Wii ? 18.36 million) Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES ? 18 million) Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! (DS ? 17.41 million) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2 - 17.33 million) Pok?mon Diamond and Pearl (DS ? 16.81 million) Mario Kart DS (DS ? 16.09 million) Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec (PS2 ? 14.89 million shipped) Pok?mon Gold and Silver (Game Boy Color ? 14.51 million approximately: 7.6 million in US,[19] 6.91 million in Japan) Super Mario Land (Game Boy ? 14 million) Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day! (DS ? 13.71 million) Pok?mon Ruby and Sapphire (GBA ? 13 million) Pok?mon FireRed and LeafGreen (GBA ? 11.82 million) Super Mario 64 (N64 ? 11 million) Gran Turismo (PS1 ? 10.85 million shipped) Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS ? 10.79 million) Nintendo still dominate the list, even if you take out Wii Sports and the Super Mario Bros. games. It's umm... a bit frightening, to say the least.
obiwong
i don't understand why WoW isn't on that list if WoW has over 11 million players, then it would have 11 million copies sold
