Livin in a box
Yes, this may have been covered before. But not since the 3.15 firmware update (on these forums at least). It's probably just easier this way (making a topic). So- my 80GB hard drive that came with my PS3 is nearly full, with about 8GB to spare, so I thought that it would probably be best to get another for the sake of ?50. But I don't want to lose all of my save data, demos and stuff like that- so if I buy a new one, how will I transfer everything over? USB data cable? Howwww? Thanks. D!ABOL!C
If you have a large enough external drive, you can perform a full system back up to that external drive. Then after you input the new drive and it gets formatted properly, you can import all that data from the external. I hope that's accurate, I haven't done a hard drive upgrade in my 60GB. Livin in a box
My biggest USB memory stick is 4GB, though I have 2 of them (I doubt that'll help at all though) and I don't want to lose my Guitar Hero stuff that conveniently can't be copied. ??
