Silver_Guy
Hi All, I wanted to find out, how can I Defrag my Mac hard drive in the terms of compacting it to have the end of the disk as continuas free space? I know Mac's dont need conventional defragging because the partition is journalled but I want to boot camp at least half of my drive for Windows 7 and cant do this because there is data spread across the whole disk so even though I have 120Gb free I can not create a partition thats 80Gb or even less. any suggestions would be great! Thanks!
+jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted January 21, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted January 21, 2010 You can purchase iDefrag for a cool $29.95, and this can defrag/compact your Mac hard disk. Your only option, as far a I know. http://www.coriolis-systems.com/iDefrag.php

Silver_Guy
cool, can it make a boot disc? As I know you can only do it with the drive offline. Oh well either way not to worry, I went the route of backing everything up and formatting it, so that I can make my win 7 partition even bigger. So all is good again :)
