[Rumor] Big problems at Team Bondi

Recommended Posts

?I was going to choose something more refined, but Twitter limits a URL and name to twenty characters. And I?m not that creative.? So starts the currently rather epic Twitter feed of one Veracious ****. If you?re after a little bit of history and gossip and interesting tidbits on Sony, The Getaway, Rockstar, and LA Noire then have yourselves a read.

A few interesting quotes to get you in the mood:

Also, if you want to go to that Rockstar SD Spouse post and replace studio names and games, you have a good idea of Team Bondi as of present

That can?t be much fun.

The 2006 LAN teaser was a target render done by an art outsourcing firm in Sydney

Goodness, does that sort of thing really happen?

The number of employees presently at Team Bondi who were there in 2005 is in the single digits.

Yikes, that?s not a good advert.

Towards the end of 2005, the first group of employees?including some that moved from Europe?left Team Bondi.

Oh dear.

There?s plenty more ? 48 at the last count ? telling a sorry tale of one man?s attempt to bring the ultimate game to the PlayStation. And it?s not a flattering tale either as the above excerpts show.

Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.

Here's the one that caught my eye

Sony and Take-Two came to agreement that the former wouldn't pursue the costs incurred for development in exchange for a franchise exclusive

Sounds like if the game ever gets made (remember, it's coming along splendidly), it (and possible franchise) is still PS3-exclusive, along with Agent. Unless Agent will be a franchise exclusive to PS3.

While its sad to hear about these problems at Team Blondi, I found this part pretty funny:

The 2006 LAN teaser was a target render done by an art outsourcing firm in Sydney

I wonder how many times this has happened with other demos.
