What happened to the Location info, on the posts sidebar?

I always found it quite useful and interesting, especially when somebody asks a vague question, saves asking which country poster is from.

Yep, me as well, I also found it to be informative, that said, not everyone put real locations in the space provided for!

Yes, bring it back. I know it's been moved to the users profile page, but that's inconvenient. It was really useful in the Hardware Hangout when recommending parts and supplying relevant links.

Sure some people didn't use it as intended (put 127.0.0.1 or other silly things/comments), but most did, if they had anything there at all. Plus it was kinda interesting seeing where others were from.

Definitely bring it back. It really does help discussion because it means other posters know what region the OP (or anyone else) is talking about.

e.g. if discussing T-Mobile in the mobile devices forum, it makes a big difference if you're from the UK or the US...the two networks are obviously very different in what they offer etc

I notice alot of you are subscribers, including OP.

Why didn't you bother your ass to speak up when it was being discussed during the dev build?

If its going to be brought back by this late whining, at least compromise and stick it in the popup beside the member name.

Because it wasn't being discussed.

I like the user info/details area to remain as small (vertically) as possible. I like reading the post faster with less scrolling. Only look at the info once in a while (other then the username of course). You have a post with a bunch of one line replies it makes for lots of scrolling with little reading to be done. JMHO

I can't find a thread about it in the dev forum. Also, in the dev forum the location info is present.

Edit: We have our location info back now.
