The only reason it is slow is they have not yet ironed out all of the bugs that are causing load issues to the servers once that is done it should run much quicker than the old version.

This really ought to be split between frontpage and forums, as they're two totally different pieces of software. People may love the new frontpage, whilst not liking the forums as much for example.

I like this version, it looks very nice. However the old version had the benefit of being able to edit your post a long time after it was made. This version seems to have a time limit on the edit button.

Like pretty much everything about the new Neowin layout and design. I find it easier on the eyes with some nice new features added and not forgetting the complete overhaul of the mobile site, which now is a real joy to browse while commuting to and fro work! (Y)

Time limit was there on the old version, as well. Unless, you're talking about creating topics. That I don't know about.

The point is that many people don't share this opinion with you.

No the point is that you didn't spend countless hours and days perfecting this theme. I'm not saying it doesn't give you a right to not like it but no need to be smug about your distaste for it.

Unless you can show something better and provide the code, etc then by all means I'd love to judge it for you and let you know if I don't like it and would prefer to look at dog crap.

I like this version better, however I have to say that I find it to be indeed slower that the previous version as someone else said, Also I dislike how it looks in Internet Explorer, (No rounded corners :( )

i liked the old ones better. and with this new forum i get this bug. could be non neowin related though. (maybe ffox2 bug)

so, sometiems the comment texts are cut off or "nothing" is there.

Nokiaxion's answer was to that post: "The point is that many people don't share this opinion with you." but i can't see it.

is it just me or a site issue?

(yes, i know. my firefox is outdated. if it is a firefox bug, i will live with that. i just want to know.)

I love this version better, hands down, it has more options, more plugin abilites, etc. I DO however prefer the forum look of the old layout. The rounded corners, smaller user/avatar area etc.

For this reason I am not totally won over to the new version yet. It's slow at times. The old version was fast.

Or even constructive criticism...

IPB2 was pretty slow for a long time until we got it tweaked to perfection. Rest assured, we'll keep working on it to improve it as much as we can :)
