azz0r_wugg
Hello, I work in an office of Windows users. They refer to network locations as network letters. Ofcourse with the mac they have the server name. Does anyone know how I can view the drive letters in finders? Thanks

+Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted February 5, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted February 5, 2010 The drive letters are client mappings (usually). So this means that what I see as X: someone else may have mapped as G:
The_Decryptor Veteran Posted February 5, 2010 Veteran Share Posted February 5, 2010 You can mount the share as a folder called with the "letter", although giving it an explicit name that would appear for Windows and OS X users would probably be better (Instead of mounting their home folder as just "H:", mount it as a drive called "Home" with the H: drive letter)
