Yup you heard right, CnC4 Beta is out now, there is a hitch though. This requires you to register for a free GameSpot account (ugh) to participate. Otherwise it's open.

I would normally go download this to check it out as iv always been a huge fan of the C&C series, RA2 was and still is one of my favourite games. But since they've got rid of base building, i think im gona skip this one

Haven't enjoyed it since the C&C: General days. Tried RA3 and hated it; the computer actually walks you through every single step of the game. It was ridiculous.

Sometimes its really annoys me when things like this happen, EA surely have the resources to handle this.

the only reason i kept up with all the new c&c games is because of base building. so i guess i won't be playing this.

have to say one of the worst cnc games i have ever played , the base building mechanic has been removed , no tib harvesting , and they just made the units look stupid and goofy looking.

Put it in again, after you signed onto your account. That's what I did when I ran into the same issue and it worked.

I checked it out and I thought it was horrible. Westwood should never have sold out.

I'm not sold on the new direction they've gone with but it's the end of the story arc so ill be purchasing this. might check out the beta depending how big the download

yeah... it really... really sucks.

If they wanted to make a game without basebuilding they should have released it with a different name, or if they really must milk the C&C name, make it a different series and not part of the main one.

This is meant to be the game which ends this story arc, explains Kane, etc. Very strange choice to completely re-write what has been a successful game formula since 1995. Im still going to buy it although disappointing to hear these comments, altogether not unexpected given the change.

This was my favorite series, i'm saddened at the lack of base building. They should have at least comprimised at went Company of Heroes style of limited building. That would get rid of tank rushes.
