+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 28, 2010 Subscriber² Share Posted January 28, 2010 It's official! Heavy Rain has now gone gold in North America and is off to manufacturing. This PlayStation 3 exclusive, psychological thriller will be available at retail on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 (mark it on your calendar). Don't forget to pre-order your copy now so you will receive the first chapter of Heavy Rain Chronicles (upcoming downloadable-only episodes for Heavy Rain) at no cost, and you'll be able to download the first chapter once you've picked up your copy of Heavy Rain (otherwise, all others will need to pay $4.99 per chapter and won't be able to download until a month later — more info to come on Heavy Rain Chronicles). In addition, we are also confirming that the Heavy Rain demo will be available in North America on Thursday, February 11, 2010 (mark it on your calendar) for download from the PlayStation Store. The demo will allow players to play two chapters from Heavy Rain, featuring Norman Jayden, an FBI agent brought in to help local authorities track down the Origami Killer, and Scott Shelby, a private detective hired by the families of past victims of the Origami Killer to find the serial killer. And finally, enjoy the new trailer for Heavy Rain! Video/Trailer: http://blog.us.plays...ng-february-11/

+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 29, 2010 Author Subscriber² Share Posted January 29, 2010 so where's the cheapest place to pre-order this in the UK currently?? HMV sell the special edition for RRP ?39.99, which is same as normal RRP and you get the first DLC free which would probably cost ?3-4.

But some of us don't want the special edition, just the perfectly normal case, lol.
Lingwo
It's the same price as the normal version though.
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 29, 2010 Author Subscriber² Share Posted January 29, 2010 But some of us don't want the special edition, just the perfectly normal case, lol. Yeah okay I was just telling him that it being the same price with the DLC bundled in it's pretty cost effective. Original - http://www.shopto.net/PS3/VIDEO%20GAMES/PS3HE05-Heavy%20Rain%20The%20Origami%20Killer.html Couple of pound cheaper? Special already makes up for that with DLC and the extra goodies. Corris Veteran Posted January 29, 2010 Veteran Share Posted January 29, 2010 It's the same price as the normal version though. Yes, but I don't like special editions, especially those that come with carboard cases and then fold out disk holders. I'm a bit nit picky with game cases not matching each other, and then the wear and tear etc. Yeah okay I was just telling him that it being the same price with the DLC bundled in it's pretty cost effective. Original - http://www.shopto.ne...i%20Killer.html Couple of pound cheaper? Special already makes up for that with DLC and the extra goodies. No doubt, but I'm still overly picky for no reason. It was on Gameplay for like ?32.99 with a voucher, but was waiting for my new card and missed the deal. :(
houlty
hmmm, there's no real price reductions for this at the minute then... i'll consider the hmv special offer, thanks for linking AB (Y) . i really am waiting for this quite eagerly, as there's just not any games that peek my interest out there at the minute. on my to get list currently is this and Battlefield Bad Company 2. i need another game like Machinarium to tie me over, loved that game  .
