rajputwarrior
I can't wait till we get to the point where everything is digital download so we don't even have to swap discs to change games  when games are becoming between 20-30 gigs, digital downloads for xbox/ps3 are not going to be popular anytime soon, especially on the playstation side. Well, you know, nothing says you have to wait for the whole game to finish downloading before you can start it. If there was a system in place that let you start playing as soon as you had say, the first level of the game and kept downloading in the background, then the overall size wouldn't matter per se. You'll play for a bit, and then say you take a break to go eat, it'll still be downloading etc. Even when you are playing, in the time it takes you to finish the first level maybe you'd have already downloaded the next two? I am loving the Games on Demand from Microsoft. Now I just wish the day would come when they do same day release. As it is right now, they are about 6 months out to not step on retailers hands. Most? I don't think most are that way. But, too many are. I would assume like anything else, as broadband saturates the world more, we will see higher and higher speeds and more caps dropped. Competition is helping that along.

That's true, that's why it won't be anytime soon ofc. I'm just saying how it could be done if speed is the issue. Overall download limits/caps is another matter. ynnoj
All I care about is the 3 discs bit. Who the hell wants to go back to swapping discs? Not me... :ermm: Pretty much the reason why I'll be getting the PS3 version. It's not something that usually bothers me, but if the option to play without that annoyance is available then it'd be stupid not to take advantage of it.
