Geoffrey B. Veteran Posted February 2, 2010 Veteran Share Posted February 2, 2010 Here where i work the marketing team uses Mac's with Tiger on them. One of the team members left and is no longer in good condition with the company. We do not know the key chain password for his machine, and are unable to authenticate on his machine when attempting to install applications. Is there anyway to Reset this, or discover what it is from within the system? Any help is appreciated thank you.

Geoffrey B. Veteran Posted February 2, 2010 Author Veteran Share Posted February 2, 2010 I am the Admin and we do not know any passwords on the machine due to the fact i was not employed when this employee left. We would prefer not to reformat the computer and start over. And apple will not assist us due to the age of the machine.
Quillz
IIRC, the Keychains are actually stored in unencrypted text files within one of the System folders. I wish I could be more helpful... Try doing a full system search for "Keychain" and see if you can find the system files.
