I'm slightly surprised that a sports game like FIFA didn't make the list. It has pretty much worldwide appeal as well as being a really good game.

Unfortunately they suffer from attrition, someone who buys FIFA09 for example is less likely to buy FIFA10 than someone who last bought FIFA08, so while there is a steady stream of supporters they generally don't all go and buy a new title every year. I generally get a new FIFA every two or three years, otherwise I spend a lot of money and see relatively few changes.

Soccer (US) is not big in the US at all. It may be selling very well in other regions, but I'm sure the lack of US sales are hurting it badly. Besides that, I'm not sure what other sport would sell well in all regions of the earth.

And what would make you say that? Because they didn't buy MW2? To be honest it's a pretty poor game

Wii Sports and Wii Fit aren't real games.

Theres no real goal in them.

Mario is a real game, Zelda, COD etc.

Well as long as you're the guy handling the definition of a "real game", all is well. You're not, though.

Isn't the goal of wii sports and wii sports resort to kick the other's players ass or to beat your own high score? Similar to many many other "real" games?
