Dean O'Meara
We have got four MAC computers in our building. I will hold my hands up and say i aint no Mac Guru and infact no nothing about them... Could anyone tell me if it is possible to get MAC PC's to work with Group Policys in Windows 2003? Thank you all
furby
I don't think there are any integrated tools, not really in Microsofts' interest I guess. I'd like to suggest something but there are only 2 macs on our server 2003 network and they're not managed too closely. If you google around I'm sure there are programs out there (nothing free I imagine). If you haven't connected the machines to the AD though, this is a good guide http://www.smallbizserver.net/Articles/tabid/266/articleType/ArticleView/ArticleID/234/PageID/357/Default.aspx I found there was no real difference connecting to server 2003 and SBS, just point all to the PDC
SadisticNerd
You may have issues though as well. THe group policies that exist in an AD DS environment are for Windows Computers and settings. I am not sure you could even nativly deploy a GPO to a MAC computer via GP. Not sure 100% though.
Elliott
You could use something like this: http://www.centrify.com/directcontrol/mac_os_x.asp. Otherwise, there's no built-in support in AD for Mac group policy.
