Project Needlemouse is Sonic the Hedgehog 4!

Actually, if you look at the end of the trailer there is a "?" mystery-platform. Either Sega are reentering the console wars or they will announce a PC release, either way it's :woot: :woot: :woot:

I've been hoping this space is saved for the Steam logo, a PC release would be awesome.

However, I recon the blank space will state its coming to the iPhone platform, which I'll play but wont be as good :(

I'm glad Sega finally came to their senses.

Sonic was invented as a 2D game. And that's all it ever will be!

Im looking forward to this now. Looks like a really polished version of Sonic Rush. :3

Watching this trailer made me feel like a kid again, I had soo many good times playing the originals! But from the looks on it, this game kind of looks like a remake of sonic 1. Lets hope not. What do you guys think?

I saw this vid a few days back, I just want to congratulate Sega for finally taking notice of the original fans that made them so big in the first place. Sonic is best in 2D.

I like the fact that they are building on the 2D game history of Sonic 1, 2, and 3 but am worried that it all looks a bit like a Flash based Internet game. Sonics foot movement is very slow and his dimensions are completely out considering the references made to past games in the trailer.

Sonic in 2D could easily be as big as Mario's revival, I just hope Sega don't let themselves down by trying to churn these new adventures out too fast at the cost of quality.

Good move by Sega so far, maybe some tweaking needed.

hahaha nope!!! New sega console perhaps? lol

http://www.sonicretro.org/2010/02/additional-material-found-and-removed-from-sonic-4-site/ its been confirmed as the iphone

i thought that the new look sonic has a much slower running speed from looking at the trailer... but maybe he just wasnt moving at maximum speed through the corkscrew

maybe the final surprise for us would be to see the leg blurring effect on the new look sonic, since that was shown with sonic 1, 2, and 3, but not 4

also i hope that they can put in many more enemy types in each level , compared to the first 3 games... its like the first 3 games had their own types of enemies which didnt get reused between games, but now we are seeing them all together in sonic 4

By the way, did any one else [bLANK] the classic "SEGA" scream at the start of the vid? Takes me back....

I accidentally the coca-cola bottle, I presume you left you the word hear.

I used to have a Sega MegaDrive, it was awesome, I wish Sega made consoles again.

Many people are saying the mystery platform is iPhone but that's stupid, because they have to recode the whole game, with Steam/PC they just need to remap the controls and it's ready.

I doubt it's iPhone, if it was handheld I would put bets on DSiWare over iPhone to be honest.

By the way, did any one else love the classic "SEGA" scream at the start of the vid? Takes me back....

I always thought that chime sent a powerful message whenever I heard it; similarly to the Macintosh boot up chime. It sent chills down my spine from the epicness!

I also thought it was an earnest reminder of what Sega's intensions are to the original Sonic fans.
