Reasoning behind removing the topic emotions?

Recommended Posts

What is the reasoning behind removing the topic emoticons? Is it a Neowin decision, or did Invision Power Services remove them as default in the new software?

I don't mind either way - probably prefer the board without them! Just curious (Y)

You could choose from 10/12 emoticons to post along with your topics/posts. I don't mean the ones you can insert into your posts.

yeah, those are called 'emoticons' ... i hardly use emoticons anyway, and i've never added an emoticon to my post titles... so its no loss to me...

I'm pretty sure that 'Post Icons' aren't part of IPB3 software by default. It'd need to be hacked in. :p

Post icons were used once out of every 20 threads. Was really a waste, they no longer use it in ipb3, so no reason to use them here aswell.
