mIRC or Xchat ?

Question

Hi all, Its been a long while since I dabbled with IRC (prolly in the xp days), Now I have a Running copy of Windows 7 64bit, I am wanting to get back into it. From what I have read tho, there seems to be a lot off issues with 64bit SSL`s. Also, I know this is a tad pickey, but mIRC if realy UGLY. I have never tried xchat but from what I have seen it has a much nicer GUI. Now, My main requirements for mIRC/Xchat is Blowfish (or fish as it is known). Does anybody use either client on a 64bit version of win7 with Fish working 100%. I have read many conflicting stories regarding this, and NeoWin always seems to be the best site for reliable information. Any help would be greatly recieved, the sooner the better thb. Im realy thinking of xchat atm, but the "fish" issues are a big put off for me (if they are true). I am always open to other software suggestions (I will be using Linux in the future, but not for a good few months), but again, Blowfish is a MUST. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR READING THIS, AND I LOOK FORWARD TO THE REPLIES.

PS. Any Links would be a bonus hehe

Thanks for the prompt reply, I dont mind paying for xchat, if its worth it, but the truble i had on my test machine was obtaining 64bit versions of openssl and a working copy of fish ( or blow me, another program i have found but not tried). The think is, I like to keep my system as clean as possible and only install software if i know for sure it is going to work. Sorry for sounding picky, but I realy need a working copy of an irc client with blowfish and openssl 64bit. THANKS AGAIN
