danbalsh
Yep and you still even after training had to talk like this: "Hello <insert long space> This <insert long space> Is" etc..etc... In a robot like voice :p
rocks1985
it's just annoying... Why is it "just annoying"? Have you used inkwell before? Is it hard to use?
Elliott
Why is it "just annoying"? Have you used inkwell before? Is it hard to use? It's not the fact that it's hard to use, it's that fact that most computer users can type faster than they can write. Tablet Devices really do get annoying when you want to write down notes during a meeting or something like that.

KingChris
Hey does anyone remember the rumor that Mac OS X Panther will include "voice activated logons"?That would be so cool... kinda StarTrekky lol Would be great. But how are they going to stop people recording your voice and playing it back.
danbalsh
hmmm good point :( Edit: Maybe you'd have to say your passphrase in a special way? and change it every week or so?
KingChris
Must be easy enough to capture someones speach pattern like via voice does by learning your voice. Might be then easy to use a text to speach convertor.
danbalsh
Yeah you make a good point, but I would have thought that this kind of logon would be used in Home only (where security isn't as big a headache as in a corporation) What if they shipped finger print readers with all new Macs, those used in conjunction with the Voice Logon would work?
